I love that my job as a music educator is with 2-5 year olds and yet I can still share my music across all the generations! Many of these residents would never have the opportunity to hear a harp live. Beautiful acoustics at both venues and we made a family weekend out of it so we could watch the Waterfire festival too! Taking a harp to a church always feels like it is arriving home. The beauty, sense of peace and resonant acoustics always humble me. Performing for funerals is something which causes deep reflection of one’s own life and values. I’m so blessed. It’s been a very topsy turvy year with many transitions after our 19 years in Asia to a new life in usa. However, my husband has a new job and is home permanently, my children have done well adjusting to their first year in American public school and have made lots of friends, and I have better life balance whilst gradually growing my musical network. We have made some lovely friends and felt supported by the new community that we’re so happy in. We’re closer to Kevin’s family and will finally move into the home we own this summer.
