Whether you’re a child or adult this workshop offers a unique opportunity to experience one of the oldest and most beautiful instruments in a relaxed setting. The harp is often inaccessible due to its size and cost, but my small harps make it possible for everyone to create enchanting sounds, build confidence, and express themselves musically. The harp is a sensory experience like no other – from the touch of the strings, to the vibration of the wood and the sweet sound it creates. Join SparkHarp and ignite a love of music, or simply enjoy the magic that playing this instrument with others brings.

Each workshop will include an overview of: how the harp works, how it has developed, basic harp technique and fun special effects used for storytelling or improvising. The fundamental elements of music will also be explored and participants will learn some ensemble playing skills as we enjoy learning some pieces together.
